George at ASDA Retail Signage Roll-out
Neonist Signage, custom LED Lightboxes and bespoke 3D TFS wayfinding structures
Tasked with the redevelopment of a new store concept to be rolled out across ASDA George’s Superstore & Living formats, Unibox were called upon to provide expert opinions on LED signage & wayfinding, resulting in several products being specified into the new concept.
Initially consulting with ASDA George’s store design agency, we were introduced to the rationale behind the concept, and which areas of the store needed improving.
After suggesting areas where we could add value, we set about adapting our 3D TFS system to integrate LED lighting, as well as creating custom Neon-style signage.
Our experience working with Quantum 4, retail design specialists who were responsible for the store’s fixturing system, meant we could adapt our existing systems to fit with ASDA George’s new universal fixtures.
As Quantum 4 were already aware of Unibox’s profile system, this resulted in a quick, easy customisation process.
The result was an engaging new store format, that has currently been rolled out into stores across the UK.
We created a multitude of customised solutions, to create an improved customer journey throughout each department, including:
Customised LED Lightboxes – with integrated fixture brackets to enable simple movement to other areas, and a built-in polycarbonate lens to protect the Lightbox diodes from trolley damage.
Bespoke 3D TFS with integrated LED Lighting – ceiling-suspended 3D TFS structures, designed to be highly visible wayfinding points for customers, with integrated linear LED Lighting.
Custom Neonist Signage – created to ASDA George’s custom specification, we utilised the latest LED Lighting technology to illuminate specifically-coloured acrylic, housed in a Dibond fabricated frame.
