Unibox repurpose Lightboxes at the Design Museum
In late 2016, the Unibox team worked with the Design Museum to create a range of lightboxes, promoting their latest exhibitions and providing information to visitors. Naturally, the exhibition came to a close and a new one was set to take its place early-mid 2017, which meant the entire display needed to be updated.
Barnbrooks, who were tasked with the joinery and display updates within the Design Museum, got in touch with a requirement for new lightboxes, but also enquired about the possibility of resizing the current lightboxes on display, rather than creating a new lightbox.
We took the environmentally-friendly approach of re-engineering the displays to fit the Design Museum’s new exhibition.
Our installation team removed the lightbox and brought it back to Unibox HQ, where our manufacturing & lighting capabilities allowed us to repurpose the lightbox to suit the new dimensions, before the team re-installed the Ledge 135 Lightboxes in the Design Museum.
This highlights a rarely-seen side to the services Unibox provide. Our installation team have experience fitting displays across a range of industries, with skills such as lighting installation, electrical configuration, joinery and much more, alongside project management, health & safety, and site surveys.
