Last month, we ventured to the city of amour, Paris, to see our latest Modular Exhibition System in place at the Maison et Objet trade show. With some 3,445 exhibitors and over 66,962 visitors, Maison et Objet is one of the premier events for interior and retail design, gaining accolades worldwide for its innovative displays showcased by widely renowned designers and promising startups.

Tom Dixon, named 2014’s Maison et Objet Designer of the year called upon Unibox to design and manufacture a bespoke display system utilising the Unibox Modular System to present visitors with an exclusive preview of the latest Tom Dixon range.

The collaboration allowed us to create bespoke displays featuring recycled school desks and branded wooden crates. Unibox aluminium profiles in a matt black anodised finish were the foundation to the industrial themed stands and trestle tables with bespoke connectors featuring laser-cut logos which connected each support.

The design aimed to convey a contemporary minimalist look in keeping with the industrial London theme of Tom Dixon’s latest product launches. We departed Paris and headed back to our home in Manchester with ideas bulging out of our heads and Tom Dixon’s scent of London in our noses.
