Ian “Mary’s Marcher” Mutton walks 43 miles for St Mary’s Hospice
When Ian told us he was going for a swift 43 mile walk in Cumbria this last weekend, we thought he’d finally gone mad!
However, Ian was taking part in a walk to raise funds for a brilliant charity - St Mary’s Hospice, who provide specialised supportive and palliative care for people with life limiting conditions throughout South Cumbria.
Thankfully, the scenery wasn't too bad:
It costs over £2.4 million a year to run St Mary’s Hospice, with the NHS funding only 20% of this. The charity rely on donations and fundraising to cover the rest, so we’re incredibly proud of the effort Ian has put in to help the cause.
So much so - our Directors have matched the funds that Ian has already raised!
Congratulations again to Ian, and a huge thank you to everyone who has donated already.
If you would like to donate, there’s still time! Follow the link here to visit Ian’s page.
