Description
This is an
important role that contributes directly to the profitability of the company.
It is a focused sales role that deals with working enquires into quotes and
ultimately to firm orders. It is a role that requires extensive knowledge about
the products and services. Proactively contacting new and existing customers by
telephone will be a key element of the role.
The successful candidate will form consultative sales relationships with their
key accounts and it is then their responsibility to foster these for long term
benefit.
The
jobholder may be responsible for passing enquiries onto the External Sales Team
for site visits and may, on occasion, attend site visits themselves.
As an
Account Manager, you will be expected to prospect for leads using the internet
and trade journals, as well as using the existing database held by the company.
Requisite skills
To be
considered for this position you must have experience of working in a client
focus environment. You must be highly articulate and have a clear telephone
manner; proactively contacting new and existing customers for prospecting. You
must possess good IT skills, be competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
and also have good written skills in order to produce professional reports and
quotes.
