Security Sliding Door System

Unibox have launched a high security sliding door system for their glass and aluminium display units. Designed to combat the most common methods of theft from display cases and display cabinets, the system features a lock mechanism which, in addition to preventing thieves from sliding the glass doors open, also prevents them from breaking in by prising the doors apart.

The image below shows how the lock mechanism connects the two sliding doors together. As you can see from the picture, the lock hooks into the second door making it impossible to tamper with the lock from behind or by prising the two doors apart.


In addition, the track along which the glass doors slide is designed so that the doors can only be lifted into and out of the display when located in a specific ‘release’ position, thereby preventing locked doors from being prised off their tracks. The panes of glass that form the display unit can also be fitted with a security film, which prevents the glass from shattering when smashed.
